I'd like to OMS Analytics and the MS Analytics on campus at the same time.

You will need to online program separately to be reviewed within that specific applicant poll. Our system currently does not allow you to submit two applications for the same program, same term.

They can also add the recommendations you included in your original on-campus Analytics application to the online application.

Students may not be enrolled in the OMS Analytics and another Georgia Tech program at the same time. While we're exploring ways to offer the option of concurrent enrollment to OMS Analytics students in future, we are currently unable to do so.

We allow a maximum of two applications at the same time for any one term. You are required to follow the full application process for each program since you will be assessed for each program separately.

No. International students do not require U.S. residency to enroll in the program.

I'm enrolled in a master program at another university.

Transfer credit is generally not accepted. If you complete the Analytics: Essential Tools and Methods MicroMasters program through edX and choose to continue your studies in analytics, you may apply for advance standing credit. Courses from this edX MicroMasters program may be considered for credit, but Georgia Tech cannot guarantee that credit will be granted.

We generally do not give credit for courses completed at other universities.

I graduated from the Online Master of Science in Computer Science program.

Course credits that have already been used for another degree cannot be used again for the OMS Analytics. However, you do not need to repeat the same courses for the OMS Analytics. Instead, you can select different courses to make up the required credit hours.

I am currently enrolled as a non-degree seeking student in the Online Master of Science in Computer Science program.

You can get credit for relevant courses completed as part of the Online Master of Science in Computer Science if the credit has not already been used for another degree.

It depends on the Ph.D. program in question.

I am currently enrolled in a Georgia Tech master program.

We require all applicants to follow the same application process, so you will need to submit an application for the OMS Analytics program and follow the full application process.

We require all applicants to follow the same application process, so you will need to submit an application for the OMS Analytics program and follow the full application process. You can get credit for relevant courses completed as part of the Online Master of Science in Computer Science if the credit has not already been applied to another degree.

The curriculum represents a subset of the on-campus curriculum, allowing for a full MS in analytics.

Full-time students may take up to six courses at a time, and must take both foundational courses in their first semester.

Part-time students may take only up to two courses until they pass their foundational requirement.

Once fully admitted, the maximum number of hours a part-time student may take is nine hours a semester (three courses). Be advised that each course is just as rigorous as its on-campus equivalent. We recommend that OMS Analytics degree-seeking students working full-time while taking courses enroll in no than two courses simultaneously.

We are able to share the curriculum and course descriptions. Syllabi for each course will be available at a later date and will be shared with successful candidates who are admitted to the program.

Both R and Python will be taught in introductory core courses, so all students will be exposed to both languages from early on in the program. For advanced coursework, students will be expected to be familiar with R and Python. The course ISYE 6501 includes R, and the course CSE 6040 includes Python. Both ISYE 6501 and CSE 6040 are introductory courses, so students will be exposed to R and Python early on in the program.

These tools are covered in the required core course, CSE 6242 Data and Visual Analytics, so every student will have the opportunity to learn them.

My employer is supporting my degree and I plan to do the practicum at my company.

This is difficult to estimate, since all students have different learning styles. A general rule is three hours a week per credit hour, in addition to viewing the course videos. Therefore, someone taking two courses at three credit hours each can expect to spend roughly 18 to 20 hours per week on coursework.

The total workload is the same for the online program as the residential program. The weekly or hourly workload depends on whether students are full-time or part-time, and how quickly students wish to complete the program. We consider students to be full-time if they are not employed and can dedicate the majority of their time to the program. Part-time students are those who have full-time jobs and cannot dedicate themselves full-time to the program.

The courses are typically taught asynchronously, which means learners access and study content anytime, anywhere.

All exams on the edX platform utilize an online proctoring solution. Students in these courses are expected to comply with the Georgia Tech Academic Honor Code.

We use current and new strategies to encourage academic integrity, including visually verifying your identity against a government issued identity card or passport. We leverage MOOC technology to automate aspects of the grading process, using a significant portion of the tuition to support the scaling of student evaluation through such technologies. Similar techniques already are in use at Georgia Tech to handle grading in classes with very large enrollments.

The degree requires a minimum of 36 credit hours (12 courses) for completion.

The typical time for full-time students to complete the degree will be one year, and two to three years for many part-time students.

International students applying to the degree program are required to submit a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 100 as part of their application.

The program balances theory and project-based work to enable students to develop a deep understanding of concepts in analytics and to apply this conceptual knowledge to real-world projects as part of their course work. The program is designed to prepare students for optimal on-the-job performance while they expand their expertise and grow professionally over time.

The degree program is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the needs of adult learners and working professionals.

This interdisciplinary degree is conferred by three Georgia Tech schools:.

At commencement, it is introduced as the Master of Science in Analytics: Interdisciplinary with the College of Computing, the Scheller College of Business, and the College of Engineering. The Provost presents the degrees to graduates.

The degree name for both is Master of Science in Analytics. The modality (on-campus or online) does not appear on the diploma or transcript.

No. The program does not include job placement support.

The electives offered are the most widely requested courses in the on-campus program.

Although available to all on-campus students, these are supplemental services that on-campus students have the option to use but are not required to do so to complete the program.

Admission in the on-campus degree is limited and we cannot guarantee that you will be accepted. It is much easier to transfer from the on-campus degree to the online degree because we can accommodate students.

Education is offered by edX and is not a Georgia Tech degree. However, the required outcomes, course experience, and course assessments are identical between the three MicroMasters program courses and the three corresponding OMS Analytics courses.

For learners who want to earn a MicroMasters certificate as a standalone credential, the cost is $1,500 ($500 per course) to $2,475 ($825 per course).

Learners who complete the Analytics: Essential Tools and Methods MicroMasters program certificate through edX and choose to continue their studies in analytics may apply the courses to the OMS Analytics degree program at Georgia Tech.

These hours are considered advanced standing credit toward the 36 hours required for the degree. A petition for advanced standing does not guarantee approval, and in some cases these courses may need to be repeated for them to count toward your degree.

The MHCI brings together bright and ambitious change agents from across health care. By studying and interacting online as a cohort, they expand their perspective and develop a community of support and inspiration.

The degree is designed to be earned online in 20 months, with a 3-year extended track option.

Within courses, online discussions generate a network of innovative thinkers and leaders. They are clinicians, entrepreneurs, researchers, business executives, health IT specialists, consultants, and others.

Cohorts network during two brief seminars and through student-led social events. During the MHCI Seminar, 80 students come together online or in person (public health permitting) as a thoughtful, inquisitive, and connected group inspired to improve health care.

They bring to the online classroom frontline experience and teaching expertise from the Perelman School of Medicine, Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation, the Wharton School, Penn Carey Law, Penn Nursing, Stuart Weitzman School of Design, Penn Engineering, and the School of Social Policy and Practice.

Instead of interrupting your career to go back to school, advance it while you learn online in a supportive, structured environment that builds community. Course activity is primarily asynchronous with weekly deadlines, so you can plan your study time around work and personal obligations.

Most courses condense a traditional semester-long amount of learning into an intensive 6 weeks. Students typically spend 12 to 15 hours each week on coursework. The curriculum is structured so that you take one course at a time, focusing on the topic at hand.

6 CORE COURSES: Build knowledge of foundational concepts.

2 SEMINARS: Prepare for the schoolyear ahead, immerse yourself in innovative thinking, and connect with your cohort, the program, and Penn during this annual gathering.

Note that a curriculum revision is launching in Fall 2022. Students previously enrolled must complete the curriculum they began, with 7 core courses, 2 electives, and 4 (0.5CU) labs.

Tuition and fees for the MHCI are based upon course units (CUs). The total estimated cost for the full degree program for 2022-2023 is approximately $67,000. Please keep in mind that rates are subject to change.

With the help of our program, our students learn skills to innovate in their careers.
