Graduate Admissions to the MS in Architecture program
GRE scores are not required for Master of Science in Architecture applicants.
Landscape Architecture Graduate Program of Study at The University of Arizona
Students are prepared for entry-level practice through involvement in a variety of project types and scales including community and campus master plans, urban park systems, plazas and green streets, industrial restoration, habitat creation, neighborhood design, and more.
Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited United States college or university, or equivalent in a non-US institution of higher learning. A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in the last 90 graded quarter credit hours or last 60 graded semester credit hours is required.
After completion of 12 consecutive semester units of 500 level courses, and a 3.0 GPA or higher, applicants can apply as graduate degree seeking using their graduate GPA.
Prospective students are required to submit application materials directly to the University of Arizona Graduate College.
The Graduate Record Examination is not required to apply.
Personal Statement: applicant will be required to submit a Statement of Purpose, clearly and concisely delineating their focus or interest, special aptitude or personal characteristics and any other relevant factors related to their career aspirations in the profession of landscape architecture.
If family members are to accompany the student, additional funds are required.
Only scores of 79 or greater on the TOEFL and 7 or greater on the ILETS are acceptable.
Graduate students pursuing the Master of Landscape Architecture are required to follow the recommended sequence of courses. 79 units of approved coursework are required in order to obtain the degree.
Interior Architecture, MIA,MIA
The MIA is a studio-based professional degree program that prepares graduates to fill leadership positions in interior architecture, design practice and education.
This degree program aims to further a candidate's comprehension of design as a synergistic process of identifying, analyzing and creating useful, beautiful and stimulating interior environments that serve the needs of varied user populations.
56 credit hours including the required capstone course
Additional coursework is required if the student needs to take deficiency courses.
Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if they have earned a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program, or applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in an applicable master's degree program.
Deficiencies must be completed prior to taking the required courses, if necessary.
Admission Requirements for the Two-year Program:All applicants must have completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree in interior design or interior architecture from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation-accredited program or a four-year degree in architecture from a National Architectural Accrediting Board-accredited program.
Admission Requirements for the Three-plus-year Program:All applicants must have completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a field other than in interior design, interior architecture or architecture.
ASU students may accelerate their studies by earning a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in as little as five years or by earning a bachelor’s degree in 2.5 or 3 years.
Accelerated bachelor’s degree programs allow students to choose either a 2.5- or a 3-year path while participating in the same high-quality educational experience of a 4-year option.
Students pursuing concurrent degrees earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. ASU offers students two ways to earn concurrent degrees: by choosing a predetermined combination or creating their own combination. Either way, concurrent degrees allow students to pursue their own personal or professional interests.
Joint programs, or jointly conferred degrees, are offered by more than one college and provide opportunities for students to take advantage of the academic strengths of two academic units. Upon graduation, students are awarded one degree and one diploma conferred by two colleges.

How to Apply
The Graduate Program in Architecture does not require submission of GRE scores.
Portfolios are required for all applications.

The M.Arch 2-year is a professional program for students with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
GRE scores are encouraged from MS applicants. GRE scores are not required for application to the Masters of Architecture programs. However, if a Masters of Architecture applicant chooses to apply for a joint degree, they should review the requirements for the other joint program to make sure that they submit required test results.
This may mean that some English as a Second Language courses may be required for degree completion.
