The Biochemistry Department does not require the GRE, but applicants have the option to submit GRE scores if they desire.

Chemistry and Biochemistry
The university require three letters of recommendation.
Demonstrated proficiency in the English language is required for all other international applicants whose native language is not English.
International applicants must include an official report of their TOEFL iBT or TSE scores from ETS. The university-wide minimum TOEFL score for graduate admission is 550 for the paper based test , and 85 for the internet based test
At minimum, international applicants must also have a TOEFL iBT Speaking subscore of 23, an IELTS Speaking subscore of 7, or a PTE Speaking subscores of 65.
The Biochemistry graduate program does not require the GRE exam. GRE scores will not be considered by the admissions committee.
Application to the university program is done electronically.
Test scores from the Graduate Record Exam and, if applicable, from the Test of English as a Foreign Language A GRE subject test is not required. GRE and TOEFL scores should be reported on the application form.
The deadline for fall admission is March 1; however, priority consideration for assistantships will be given to applications completed by February 1.
The deadline for spring admission is November 1. Applications must be complete at this point.

Applications will be reviewed if arrive past deadline; but admittance will depend upon remaining positions.
Official transcripts are only required if accepted by the academic program.

Chemistry and Biochemistry

All components, including a final transcript acknowledging the degree, are required for admission to the graduate program.
The GRE advanced chemistry scores are not required, but are encouraged, especially for students with an interest in additional fellowships.

If applicant are applying to the MS program in Genetic Counseling or the MS and PhD programs in Medical Physics, applicant must be able to provide their GRE scores to apply.
Application fee - A $50 application fee is required.
CV/Resume - A CV or resume is required and should include academic honors, awards received in college, employment history, internships, summer research programs, education history, etc.
The Research Statement is required if applicant are applying to the PhD program and MS program in Biomedical Sciences.
Each letter must be on institutional letterhead and signed by the recommender.
