College description: WCM-Q is part of Cornell University and shares the tripartite mission of Weill Cornell Medicine in New York of dedication to excellence in education, patient care and research.The six-year program in pre-medical and medical education leading to the M.D. degree will be granted by Cornell University upon completion of all graduation requirements.In unison with the goals and mission of the college, the initiatives of the institute are organized in the three broad areas of education, research, and community care programs.In the first course of the curriculum, Essential Principles of Medicine, students learn the core concepts in the three fundamental themes of Science, Patient care and Physicianship required for the practice of medicine.The second segment of the curriculum, Health, Illness and Disease, bridges Essential Principles of Medicine and the clinical clerkships.
