UCLA Master of Applied Geospatial Information Systems and Technologies
Applicants are NOT required to submit GRE scores or any other standardized admissions exams. GRE scores will not be considered in the admissions process even if submitted.
This will be evaluated holistically and there is no specified number of years of professional experience required.
MSIT GRE-GMAT Waiver Information
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree does not qualify any applicant for a waiver of the GRE/GMAT requirement.
The GRE/GMAT requirement will not be waived based on work experience.
Applicants may not substitute other exam results for the GRE/GMAT
Applicant must still take the GRE or GMAT. The Carnegie Mellon University does not accept the TOEFL exam in place of the GRE or GMAT.
MS in Information Systems and Technology
Undergraduate Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, a physical science, computer science, applied mathematics, business administration, or liberal arts with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Official scores from the GMAT test or GRE test ; and
Students are required to demonstrate proficiency in the use of computer applications. If this requirement has not been met prior to admission, a college-level computer-based information systems course such as MIS 204 is required.
Part of this requirement can be met by obtaining a score of "4" or more on the Graduate Management Admission Test or Graduate Record Exam Analytical Writing Assessment
The Pre-program requirement provides a basic foundation in theory, tools and techniques required for the management of profit and non-profit organizations.
The Graduate Management Admission Test or Graduate Record Examination is not required for admission into the program; however, if students are interested in a graduate assistantship, GMAT or GRE scores must be submitted by the end of the eighth semester.
Students applying for an assistantship should submit scores from the Graduate Management Admissions Test , Graduate Record Exam or similar examinations by January 30.
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or IT to be considered for this program. However, the MPS in IT Management program is designed for professionals with significant IT experience, so you will be expected to have a wide breadth of IT knowledge.
There is no need to submit GRE or GMAT scores for acceptance into this program. Graduate admissions testing is not required for acceptance into SoPA's MPS in IT Management program.

Purdue Polytechnic Institute
By default, all Computer and Information Technology graduate students are admitted to the thesis option; therefore, a thesis is required.
The exit option is coursework-only; however, the plan of study has less flexibility , and requires more total credit hours than either the thesis or directed project options.
Applicant must possess a minimum of a 3.00/4.00 GPA in order to be admitted without conditions.
The Purdue University-Main Campus cannot predict their chances of admission based on GPA or test scores.
Also, failure to submit all required application materials will lead to denial of admission.
The GRE is required – there are no exceptions.
The Purdue University-Main Campus currently do not accept GMAT scores as a substitute for GRE scores.
Applicant can submit their electronic admission application before applicant take the GRE test; however, the university cannot admit any applicant until Purdue University-Main Campus has reviewed the GRE scores
The CIT graduate program does not have a minimum required score for the GRE. As a general guideline, GRE scores are expected to be in the upper 50th percentile for unconditional admission.
International degree-seeking applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language unless they have graduated from a university or college that used English as the primary language of instruction.
In summary, the minimum paper-based score required for admission is 600.
If applicant are interested in applying to two or more graduate programs separately, applicant will be required to create a new application and pay an application fee for each application submitted.
Applicant will be required to file a new plan of study if applicant are admitted to the West Lafayette program, and some of their previous credits may not be applicable to specializations offered at West Lafayette.
The university will not process their application with all documentation listed as required.

1. Academic Record:A grade point average of 3.2 and above is expected. The average GPA of students entering the MSIS program in fall 2016 was 3.46.2. Resume: You’re more than test scores and GPA. We’ll look at your extracurricular activities, work history, volunteer projects and military experience.
3. Personal Statement: Share your career plans and how you think the MSIS program will help realize your goals—and demonstrate your written communication skills. The statement should be one to two pages—about 700 words.
4. Letters of Recommendation: Provide two letters of recommendation from people who know you academically and professionally. One letter must be from a college faculty member.
5. Test Scores: Recommended scores and codes:
(1)Current students or alumni of an accredited U.S. institution may submit a priority application and request a test score waiver.
(2)No GMAT and GRE scores are required for Kelley and SICE students on the IU Bloomington campus as well as +Kelley students.
(3)The test scores specified here are representative of applicants typically invited to interview and are provided as a guideline for prospective students. They are not cutoff scores.
6. Interviews: Competitive applicants near Bloomington, Indiana will be invited to campus for interviews. Applicants outside of the area will be interviewed in-person, via Skype, or over the phone.

Master of Science in Information Systems
The program consists of five three-credit required core courses and a minimum of fifteen additional credits from a list of elective courses approved for the program drawn from a range of disciplines.
Students must take at least fifteen additional credits that are approved in advance by the MSIS Steering Committee from the following approved elective course listings in order to arrive at the total required of 30 credits.
Some of the elective graduate courses may require prerequisites in addition to the minimum required for general admission to the MSIS graduate program.
Each student’s Program of Study must include the five required core courses with the remainder of courses to be selected from an approved course list maintained by the department or proposed by the student and assessed for possible approval.
Previous programming courses or experience are recommended but not required.
Note 3: Students applying for Graduate Certificate programs are NOT required to submit GRE scores. Students that successfully complete a graduate certificate program in Information Systems that includes the foundation courses of SIE 505, 507, 515, 525 and 550 in their certificate programs and receive a B or better in all of these courses are not required to submit a GRE score for admission to the full non-thesis MS programs in Information Systems , Spatial Informatics and Spatial Information Science and Engineering – Project Option The 5 foundation courses automatically count towards the 10 courses required for the full MS degree.
Note 4: Students pursuing a non-thesis graduate degree in SCIS, such as the MSIS, may complete a GRE Waiver Request.

Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale at the time of application and this grade point average must be maintained throughout participation in the program.
For graduate students only: please submit their GRE/GMAT scores only if they are required to apply for their intended graduate program; otherwise, they are not required for the FAIT Fellowship application.
