College description: The Master of Landscape Architecture program prepares students to engage in Landscape Architecture as both a cultural and ecological practice.The intent of the curriculum is to enable students to pursue two educational goals simultaneously—broadening their knowledge of landscape architecture and related disciplines while developing a specific expertise within the field. The degree typically requires two years to complete. Typical of post-professional programs, the MLA II is not an accredited degree program.

Advanced placement may be granted to some applicants based on an evaluation of all application materials.

Graduate credit is calculated into a separate graduate GPA.

Graduate Record Examination Scores | GRE scores are required of all applicants, though the program does not have required minimum GRE scores.

The University of Virginia-Main Campus does not have minimum requirements for the GRE or GPA, however, the strength of their overall application package will take both of these measures into consideration. GRE scores are valid for 5 years. The GRE MUST be taken at least two weeks prior to the program admission deadline in order for the University to receive scores and match them to their application for review by Admissions Committees.

The departments of Architecture, Architectural History and Landscape Architecture only accept the GRE. The department of Urban and Environmental Planning will accept the LSAT or GMAT in lieu of the GRE.

College description: The university see the design process and development of architecture as a response to the landscape.Students will design a master plan to include 6-8 sleeping structures one bathroom facility one communal space for cooking, gathering, eating, and controlled fires and a dock with common space. Qualified candidates are considered for financial support upon application and in subsequent years of study.
