Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Program
College description: Whether you’re treating mental and emotional disorders such as depression or substance abuse, helping an individual or family adjust to life after a divorce or developing strategies to help patients cope with an uncertain future, one thing will remain the same: as a Mental Health Counselor, you will serve as a positive force in the lives of those in need. The MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bay Path is an exciting and accelerated program that provides students with comprehensive education and training in the field of mental health counseling. Prepares graduates for the opportunity to apply for the licensing examination, and eventual licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for the state of Massachusetts. Massachusetts is 1 of the top five states with the highest employment level for substance abuse, behavioral disorders and mental health counselors in the country.
Prospective students may apply for admission to the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program throughout the year. Classes start every February, June, and October.
It is strongly recommended that students have a working knowledge of statistics, research methods, abnormal psychology, personality, and development.
For consideration, applicants must submit the following admission requirements:
1. A completed application
2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred)
3. An original essay of 300-500 words on the topic "Why the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is important to my personal and professional goals"
4. A current resume
5. Two recommendations
6. A signed program requirement form
The GMAT and GRE are not required.

Post-Master Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Complete the online admissions application, including Essay questions, admissions and program-specific, Resume/curriculum vitae (CV), and Non-refundable $50 application fee.
Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you earned a degree or certificate.
Two letters of recommendation are required, from people who are in a position to evaluate your professional or academic work. The person making the recommendation may not be related to you.
Interview with a faculty member of the department to which you seek entry if selected. This can be in person, by phone, or via Skype.
Master’s and Certificate Programs do not require the GRE or any other standardized test for admissions. They consider all of your application materials, and evaluate your academic potential in a variety of ways.

M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Admission Requirements
College description: The School of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Therapy. Many alumni of our program serve with or assist mission agencies and missionaries around the world. Other graduates serve in nontraditional roles that bring the training and values of the mental health field into ministry roles within the church. Members of the School of Psychology, Counseling, and Family Therapy are active in teaching and training professionals, clergy and lay people around the world.
The M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program is a full-time, two-year, residential program that operates on a cohort model and begins in fall semester only. The program considers individual and group interviews and the qualifications and qualities of the entire applicant pool when making final admissions decisions. Applications are reviewed holistically. All application materials and the interview are due by the application deadline.
1. Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
2. GPA 3.0 minimum.
3. Official Transcripts from all colleges where a degree was earned or is currently being earned.
4. Four Recommendations, which are online forms. Letters are accepted as supplements to the forms.
6. Application Fee. USD $30, non-refundable.
The GRE General Test is no longer required.
