Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Additionally, students applying to the MSECE online must submit GRE scores, a resume, and a personal statement.

The university charges variable tuition rates for the online engineering master's program based on whether a student resides in or outside of the state of Utah.

The university offers five online engineering master's degrees through Purdue Online: an MS in electrical computer engineering, an MS in engineering , an MS in engineering technology, an MS in industrial engineering, and an MS in mechanical engineering.

While admissions requirements vary by program, applicants should hold a bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in the student's engineering focus area or a related major. Additionally, students must submit three letters of recommendation, a resume, and a statement of purpose. The program considers admission of nonengineering-degree holders on a case-by-case basis.

GWU offers four online engineering master's programs: MS degrees in electrical engineering, engineering management, and systems engineering, and a master of engineering in cybersecurity policy and compliance. Some programs, such as the electrical engineering MS degree, offer further optional concentration areas within the major.

Students may apply to an online engineering master's degree during one of two fall start dates, two spring start dates, or an accelerated summer option.

McNair Scholars may qualify for a University of Minnesota McNair Application Fee Grant which pays for the cost of an application fee.

Individuals who participate in Fall Preview Day will receive an application fee waiver.

A personal statement is required of all applicants.

Please include awards and leadership, service or volunteer activities in their resume.

The diversity statement is optional yet recommended for all applicants.

Score Minimums:A minimum TOEFL score of 600 or 100 is required. Applicants must also score a minimum of 21 in writing and 19 in reading of the TOEFL. An IELTS score of 7.0 overall or higher is also acceptable. Applicants must also score a minimum of a 6.5 in both the reading and writing sections of the IELTS.

Exceptions:Applicants who have completed 24 quarter credits or 16 semester credits in residence as a full-time student at a recognized institution of higher learning in the United States.

An official TOEFL score report must be received directly from ETS before an official admissions notification will be made.

Unofficial transcripts or academic records of all post secondary institutions attended should be uploaded directly to the online application.

The GRE is required for MDP, MHR, MPP, MS-STEP, and MURP applicants. An official score report must be received directly from ETS before an official admissions notification will be made.

Please note: MPA program applicants are not required to submit GRE scores.
