If applicant are offered admission and decide to enroll in the MSEM program, applicant will be required to request that official hard copy transcripts from all of their degree-granting institutions be sent directly to Tufts.
Tufts Gordon Institute believes that the quality of the applicant's academic record, work experience and letters of recommendation are the best indicators of potential for success in this program. However, if applicant have previously taken the GRE or GMAT, applicant do have the option to submit their scores as part of their application for admission.

Admission requirements for Mechanical Engineering, M.S. at New York University are:
1. Complete the online application.

Graduate Programs in the Biomedical Sciences Case Western Reserve University
Within those overall expectations, a specific course of study for each graduate program is required and described in each degreeplan of study.
In general a year of biology, organic chemistry and mathematics through calculus are required, and biochemistry and molecular biology are strongly recommended.
Letters of recommendation from research mentors that describe creativity, handwork, and promise in science are very important.
The GRE general test is required. Recent classes have earned an average of 70th percentile in each area. A GRE subject test is desirable, but is not required. The Test of English as a Foreign Language is required for foreign students unless they are from an English-speaking country or have a degree from a university where the instruction is primarily in English.
The main purpose of these rotations is to aid students in selecting a laboratory for their thesis work.

An average GRE score of 75th percentile in the Quantitative area. The GRE exam is mandatory for most programs in the ISE Department. The Lehigh University does not require the GRE subject test.

Information on test dates and test center locations for both the General and Subject GRE can be found on the GRE site. The computer-based GRE is offered year-round at various locations, and scheduling to take the exam is usually not difficult. However, the GRE Subject Test has very limited offerings, so be aware of the available times.
Writing the statement of purpose can be a time-consuming process, and applicant may need to write several drafts before their statement is finished. If there are no guidelines on the length of the statement, make their document no longer than two pages of double-spaced text.
The deadline to accept offers of admission with financial assistance is April 15th. Take as much time as applicant need before the deadline to consider their options.

Roy J. Carver Biomedical Engineering

The application is a two-step process.
Students are encouraged to begin the application in the spring of the junior year. No official admission to the joint program will be made without the GRE scores.
Graduate Record Examination test scores Even if a student is approved by the department without GRE scores, it is required for admission by the graduate college. If GRE test scores are inadequate , the student may be asked to retake the test to obtain an adequate score for continuation in the program.
Thirty total semester hours of graduate credits are required, 24 sh of course work and 6 sh of either thesis or project credit. Students entering the BSE/MS degree program are required to enroll in the BME engineering graduate seminar each semester during the graduate degree.
Admission and GRE requirements
One interesting thing about bioinformatics is that the fundamental work that opens up new fields is usually "engineering", while the application of the tools is "science".
The PBSE program was created because the grad admissions process at UCSC only allows students to apply to one program—the PBSE program provides a single-application admission to MCD biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics.
The University of California-Santa Cruz does not require a Subject GRE, since there is none that covers the wide range of material that the university want the university incoming students to know. The University of California-Santa Cruz does require the general GRE exam, and the TOEFL exam. If applicant have taken a Subject GRE exam in a relevant field, please do include that information, as the better picture of applicant University of California-Santa Cruz has, the better admissions decisions the university can make.
To the extent that the university care about GRE scores, all three are important, as students are more likely to fail from difficulty in writing a thesis than from difficulty in doing the computational parts of the research.
The university expect students to have completed at least 6 core courses with a GPA of 3.0.
By that point they've generally got the background, probem statement, and some of the methods, but no results.
For the most part, getting fellowships requires filling out application forms and writing essays, much like applying to colleges.
A clear statement of the research question being addressed. This is not just a general statement of the field the research will be in, but a particular hypothesis that will be investigated.
The thesis proposal should start with a clear statement of the new ideas that are being developed.
Having a clear statement about where the thesis research ends is important, and one of the main goals of a successful ATC exam is for the student, the adviser, and the rest of the committee to have agreed on the exact scope of the thesis.
It is extremely common for students to be required to rework their research plans to include some discussion of alternatives should the rosy best-case plans they initially laid out not be realized.
