PhD program applicants may submit only one application per admissions year but may request to transfer an application to a different program at any point in the application process.
Evidence of the earned degree is required prior to matriculation in the form of an official transcript noting degree conferral.
GRE scores are optional and submission is at the discretion of the applicant. Applicants may submit their GRE scores if they believe it will add to their application. Not submitting a GRE will not be held against the applicant.
If the applicant is NOT submitting scores please disregard the GRE submission question on the application.
Otherwise, research papers, publications and other original works, as well as resumes and CVs may also be submitted for consideration, but are not required.

The Plant Pathology Program only accepts application for the Fall Quarter. The priority deadline for early consideration and full fellowships for PhD students is December 4th. Note for Domestic PhD Applicants only: Domestic applicants can apply for an application fee waiver if they have a GPA of 3.3 or higher and they have SAVED, not SUBMITTED their application, with unofficial transcripts attached to the Scholastic Information of the application, by Dec 1. The department cannot waive their application fee if applicant have already submitted the application.

Plant Pathology-Graduate Admissions-University of Idaho
Applicants must have a minimum overall Grade Point Average of 3.00 on a 4.00 grade scale equivalent to the students.S. bachelor’s degree.
Written a detailed statement/essay describing their professional experience and potential to succeed academically
An official academic record from all post-secondary education institutions attended is required. This may take some time so start this early in their application process.
In the instance that official records cannot be obtained, unofficial records may be used to consider their application.
If the degree is from a recognized but not regionally accredited institution, the application will be reviewed by the department and by the College of Graduate Studies.

Recommendation for admission is based on the department's decision.
Each application requires three Letters of Recommendation Applicant will need to enter this information to complete an online application.
Transcripts, degree certificates, GRE, TOEFL) must be sent directly from the institution and/or testing center to Graduate Admissions.
These scans may be used to determine their acceptance into the program, however the official transcript documents will ultimately be required.
The GRE is only required for some graduate programs.
F-1 graduate students are required to be enrolled in nine credit hours and are allowed to take up to three credits of online coursework toward this requirement. J-1 visa holders are also required to enroll in nine credit hours, but are not allowed to take online classes toward the nine credit requirement.

If applicant are applying to the MS program in Genetic Counseling or the MS and PhD programs in Medical Physics, applicant must be able to provide their GRE scores to apply.
Application fee - A $50 application fee is required.
CV/Resume - A CV or resume is required and should include academic honors, awards received in college, employment history, internships, summer research programs, education history, etc.
The Research Statement is required if applicant are applying to the PhD program and MS program in Biomedical Sciences.
Each letter must be on institutional letterhead and signed by the recommender.
