College description: The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at the Trachtenberg School prepares you for leading and managing public service organizations and programs in all sectors. Graduates are employed in government agencies at all levels, national associations, public interest groups, research and consulting firms, and in the private sector.

The admissions process is competitive. Normally, accepted students have undergraduate GPAs of 3.5 or higher. A minimum of a B average in undergraduate coursework is required for admission to graduate study in the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration within the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.

When considering MPA applicants, we also look for interest in public administration, management and/or leadership which may be evidenced through relevant undergraduate courses, work or volunteer experience.

College description: Forest Management and Operations � Master of Forestry (M.F.). Master of Public Administration in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. To be eligible for admission to the concurrent degree programs, matriculated students must complete at least one full-time semester of graduate-level coursework or the equivalent, and earn a 3.5 grade point average or better at ESF. Maxwell is the only major school where the professional graduate program in public administration is integrated within the larger school of social sciences (anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science and sociology).

Applicants to the MPA program must demonstrate adequate quantitative, analytic, and writing aptitude and preparation to be admitted. These requirements can be evidenced by successful completion of coursework in relevant content areas and/or by adequate performance on the GRE or GMAT exams.

College description: The Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) offers students the opportunity to study public policy and program management from a cross-disciplinary perspective.
