Masters in Public Administration
Applicant can view information on open positions and submit their application online using the GA Job Database.
Taking up to three MPA courses as a non-matriculating student, achieve a GPA of 3.0 in these classes, and re-apply for full admission into the program;
Accept a "conditional acceptance," where the student is admitted to the program, but with the understanding they must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better in there first four classes to remain in the program.

Admission Information
To All Prospective MPA Applicants:If applicant are considering applying or are in the process of applying to the Master of Public Administration Program the university want to encourage applicant to apply and get their application fee waived.
Although there is no deadline, time is required to process the applications and to allow time to take the GRE, GMAT or LSAT for their test scores, so applicants should apply well before the term starts.
Official GRE scores must be sent from the Educational Testing Service. If applicant have already taken the GMAT or LSAT applicant may submit those scores for the university review. However, if applicant have not taken the GMAT or LSAT, applicant are required to take the GRE and submit those scores.
The letter should address their ability to be successful in the MPA program. Applicant may submit more than one letter.

Prospective PhD Students
Complete GRE test scores are required. The Admissions Committee will be unable to consider their application unless the university receive these test scores. The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor does not accept the LSAT, GMAT, or other test scores.
In order to review their application, the university must have access to all of their materials, letters of recommendation, and test scores by the beginning of the deadline day.
It is important to wait until January 15 before inquiring about missing application materials.
It is highly recommended that applicant check electronically via their online College Net application.
Every part of the application is important and is considered. There are no strict cut offs for the GPA or GRE scores.
Their application will be considered equally regardless of whether applicant have funding.

Applicant must apply using the University's online application system.
No; unless applicant are applying from a country or region that has little or no access to the internet, applicant must apply using the University's online application system.
It is important to keep their pin in a safe place as applicant will need to use it throughout the application process. Applicant may begin the application process at any time, even if applicant are not ready to submit all of the required materials. Only after applicant submit their completed application will the application and supplemental materials be reviewed.
Letters of recommendation may be submitted through the University's online application system.
However, if applicant wish to be considered for an assistantship or scholarship applicant must submit a GRE or GMAT test score.
If applicant are an applicant to the MPA program and miss the February 1st deadline, applicant will not be considered for an assistantship or scholarship. If applicant are a PhD applicant and missed the January 15th deadline, the university cannot guarantee that applicant will be considered for funding.
There is a $20 fee associated with this request and applications can be deferred for up to one year of the original application admit term.
Average GRE scores for admitted MPA students are the 64th percentile for quantitative and 58th percentile for verbal. GRE waivers are available for qualified students.
The Department does not have an official minimum GPA.
Because the university receive relatively few GMAT scores, the percentile is considered rather than the raw score.
The Department will accept LSAT scores in lieu of GRE or GMAT for MPA applicants.
Regardless of their intent to be a full-time or part-time student, the same application form is used.
Work experience is not required for admission to the MPA program. However, any previous work or internship experience will be considered during the application review process.
The use of video and web conferencing software , allows the MIA program to offer more classroom locations , an expanded range of courses and greater opportunities for practitioner guest lecturers to contribute to student learning and preparation for a changing professional communication environment.
All international affairs core courses and many elective courses are available in a synchronous distance-learning format. No international affairs core courses, are currently offered online in asynchronous distance-learning formats but few online courses offered by Rockefeller College and other University at Albany graduate programs may be counted to MIA program elective requirements.
Average GRE scores for students admitted into Rockefeller College's other professional masters program, the Master of Public Administration, are in the 64th percentile for quantitative and 58th percentile for verbal.
The MIA program does not have an official minimum GPA.
A score in the 50th percentile or higher is preferred.
The SUNY at Albany will accept LSAT scores in lieu of GRE or GMAT for International Affairs applicants under certain conditions.
Work experience is not required for admission to the MIA program.
Since proven English proficiency is required to ensure success in UAlbany’s graduate programs, the TOEFL, the IELTS, or the PTE Academic exam is required for students whose native language is not English.
