Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy
College description: Most of the students pursue doctoral-level public policy research with the goal of working in domestic and international public agencies, research organizations and policy consulting firms. They are united by their passion for public policy and their desire to have a positive impact on the world.
The Duke University require a 1-2 page resume with the online application.
Their statement should be no longer than 1,500 words.
As the Duke University does not grant deferrals, admission is valid only for the year specified in the offer letter. Should applicant change their mind, applicant must complete a new application to re-apply for a subsequent year, and previous financial aid awards no longer apply.
The university can retrieve and use some previous application materials for two years. The university recommend revising their resume and providing updated information.
Academic records are only one of these factors and are considered alongside letters of recommendation, personal accomplishments, personal statements, and test scores, among others.
Some applicants may decide to retake the GRE in order to improve their scores. They will automatically provide us both sets of GRE scores for review.
Beginning with the Fall 2021 application, GRE score submission will be optional. Students may, if they choose, submit GRE scores for consideration in the application process, but it is not required.

There is no better place for learning and practicing much-needed social work than in post-Katrina New Orleans.
A campus tour is given and a variety of other activities to help make the students learning experience an enjoyable and beneficial one.
So that part-time students can successfully complete the field requirements for the MSW, students are required to complete a portion of their field hours during regular weekday business hours.
A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4-point scale is required for admission. The university Admissions Committee considers the total application, including grades, experience, GPA if applicable, personal essay and the fit of the applicant's goals with the mission of the TSSW MSW program.
The required score on the GRE is 1000 or better

Field of Specialization - A defined field of specialization is required of all candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy degree. A minimum of 48 semester hours of non-dissertation course credit is required.
