No Minimum GRE for Admission to graduate programs in Chemistry - Updated 2021
The university use a holistic review process and take into account their grades , GRE scores, letters of recommendation, and their statement of purpose. Recommendation letters from their research mentors are very valuable.

The application fee is $95.
The Vanderbilt University does not require the GRE Chemistry Subject Test, but it is encouraged.
The Vanderbilt University does not use minimum scores for any section of the GRE test. Scores are evaluated in combination with all other aspects of a candidate's application. Similarly, the Vanderbilt University does not have a GPA minimum.
The university will also discuss the application process with applicant.
Applicant may apply to more than one graduate program through Slate, the university online application portal. Applicant only pay one application fee, but each program will review their application independently to determine admission to that specific program.
The application review process for each of these programs is completely independent from that of the Chemistry program.
The priority deadline for submitting the online application is December 15.
Applicant will have the chance to attach their personal statement and resume at the end of the application.
Note that this differs from other departments at the University of Rochester, so applicant may disregard references to application fees within the online application system.
The priority deadline for submitting the application materials for admission to the graduate program in the Department of Chemistry is December 15. Applications received after the priority deadline will still be accepted and processed but will be given consideration according to the availability of positions in the program.
Electronic copies of either unofficial or official exam score reports are accepted as part of the online application system.
The university department does not publish minimum score requirements for the GRE exam.

The Miami University-Oxford does not require applicants to take the GRE Subject exam.
There is no official minimum score for the general GRE exam.
For English proficiency, Miami’s minimum TOEFL score is 80 with at least 20 on the speaking portion, or an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with at least 6.5 on the speaking portion.
The Chemistry/Biochemistry Department does not have the authority to waive the application fee.
The deadline for fall admission is March 1, however priority consideration for assistantships will be given to applications completed by February 1 The deadline for spring admission is November 1.
Priority deadline: Applications will be considered after the Priority deadline provided space is available.
Final submission deadline: Applicants cannot submit applications after the final submission deadline.
An earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution supersedes the minimum standards for the baccalaureate. The minimum GPA is a cumulative 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all graduate coursework undertaken.

Scores must be received directly from the appropriate testing agency by the deadline. There is no minimum GRE score; the GRE is only one of multiple factors considered.
Three letters of recommendation are required. Letters should be submitted by recommenders through the online application.
A personal statement of at least 300 words is required. The statement should include information concerning their life, education, practical experience, special interests and specific purpose for applying to the University of Denver. Share anything in their personal statement that applicant believe will help evaluate their application.
Their submitted materials will be reviewed once all materials and application fees have been received.
Also, a minimum of 6 research credits are required.

Due to recent changes within the university University, Michigan Tech requires a minimum 79 overall TOEFL or 6.5 overall IELTS score.
Chemistry and Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry does not have a minimum GRE requirement. The university make the university admission decisions based on the entire application package. The University of Mississippi does not require the GRE Chemistry exam. However, if an applicant chooses to take the exam, it may strengthen their application.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry does not have a minimum TOEFL score for admission.
The university require three letters of recommendation and a personal statement outlining their background, career aspirations and motivation for graduate studies.

Considering the time it takes to receive the documents and recommendation letters, the review and nomination process times, January 15th is an appropriate deadline.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry requires general GRE scores for all graduate applicants, and TOEFL or IELTS scores for all international applicants. The subject GRE score is not required, but if applicant have taken the subject test in either Chemistry, Physics, or Biochemistry Cell & Molecular Biology, please include their score in their application, as this may place applicant out of the placement examination requirements.
Texas Tech University requires a minimum TOEFL score of 79 Internet-based test or 550 Paper-based test , or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher. There is no minimum GPA or GRE requirement.
Note that if applicant were instructed in English in their university in a country that is not listed, applicant will still be required to take the TOEFL or IELTS.
The university therefore require the TOEFL or IELTS scores.
The application must be in the "Completed" status in the application process before an application will be reviewed. It is to their advantage to complete and submit application materials well before the deadlines, and to accept offers well in advance of the April 15 deadline.
Applicant will need to provide new/better test scores, new transcripts showing additional coursework or completion of a degree, additional peer-reviewed publications, or additional letters of recommendation. A new statement of purpose, resume, curriculum vitae, etc...
For domestic applicants, their Overall GPA and Chemistry GPA should both be at least 3.0 out of 4.0
Each application is examined individually with respect to the other applicants.
The university will not decide on their application until the university receive their scores.
There is no application fee for domestic applicants. The application fee is $75 for international applicants. The application fee must be received prior to an admission decision release.
The student’s grades, recommendation letters, GRE and TOEFL scores, and personal statement are all considered.
Taking the GRE Chemistry or Physics Subject Test is strongly recommended, but it is not required.
