Taking into consideration the collective strength of a candidate’s application, the university employ a holistic review process.
While the personal statement – generally two double-spaced pages – should be sound in terms of grammar, usage, and mechanics and illustrate that the candidate is capable of writing at the graduate level.
An interview will not carry any particular weight relative to the other application components, and because of the nature of the university selection process, the interview will be contextualized differently for each applicant.

If applicant are an Early Decision applicant and their application is completed by February 1st, applicant will receive a decision within 4 weeks of their application being marked as complete.
If applicant are a Regular Decision applicant, applicant can expect to receive a decision about 8-10 weeks after their application is marked as complete.
The university will accept GMAT, GRE, or LSAT scores.
The Georgetown University do not use numerical cutoffs and there is no minimum GPA or GMAT, GRE, or LSAT score required for admission.
Due to the university rolling admissions process, the university strongly encourage applicant to take the GMAT, GRE, or LSAT in, or prior to, September. The university will still accept a later LSAT, GMAT, or GRE test, but please note that it is most advantageous to take an earlier test because of the university rolling admissions process.
The Admissions Committee typically considers their highest score and may consider an average of scores if applicant have taken the GMAT, GRE, or LSAT more than twice.
There is no minimum or maximum length for the personal statement, but it should be double spaced.
The university only require one recommendation or evaluation, but applicant may submit more if applicant’d like. Please note that once the university receive one letter of recommendation or LSAC evaluation form, their application will be considered complete and sent to the committee for review.
