At Dominican University, no credit is granted for pre-admission experiential learning, prior coursework, degrees, certifications or advanced training.

PA Application and Requirements
College description: Below is an outline of your 28-month curriculum for the Physician Assistant Studies program. A blend of challenging classroom education and in-person experience through clinical rotation across multiple specialties will make up your curriculum. Your first session will focus on a foundation of basic, behavioral, and clinical sciences. This will provide entry-level knowledge on your path to become a primary care Physician Assistant.

Submit a completed and verified application through the Centralized Application System for Physician Assistant (CASPA).
1. GRE REQUISITES
Completed GRE prior to application.
(i)No minimum score required.
(ii)The score will be used in the evaluation for entry into the program.
(iii)GRE scores will only be accepted within the past five years of the applications.
(iv)Enter your GRE in CASPA. CASPA will retrieve the official score from ETS.
2. GPA & COURSE REQUISITES
Earn a cumulative and science GPA of 3.0 or higher as calculated by CASPA. If you have a 3.0 or less, then we will accept a GPA from a Master’s level program or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from at least one semester/term of a graduate-level certificate or degree program. The graduate program curriculum must include coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology/Immunology, and Biochemistry.
3. DEGREE REQUISITES
Earn a baccalaureate degree conferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. If you are still in progress of conferring/completing your bachelor degree program, you must have your degree on an official transcript prior to the start of the program.
4. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Submit two letters of recommendation:
(i)One letter of recommendation must be from a medical provider such as a physician assistant, nurse practitioner or physician.
(ii)It is recommended that one letter is from a PA.

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences will admit one new cohort of DPT students each June. They anticipate a class size of 35 students. Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis.
Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mary Baldwin University admission requirements are:
1. A bachelor’s degree is required prior to enrollment. Applicant's official transcripts from the degree-granting institution must be sent to Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS).
2. Submit a non-refundable supplemental fee of $45.
3. Students for whom English is not their primary language, regardless of US citizenship, are required to submit their TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score with their application. A minimum score is 570 (paper-based) or 88 (internet-based). A student may be exempted if they have graduated with a bachelors or graduate degree from a 4-year accredited US university.
There is no minimum GRE score needed to apply for Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mary Baldwin University.
5. A minimum of 3.0 overall GPA required.
6. Two references are required. At least one reference must be from a physical therapist.
7. 40 hours are required in at least two different settings, such as hospital inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, long-term care, etc.
