One Year and No-GRE Graduate programs

The Civil and Environmental Engineering offers three graduate degrees: Doctor of Philosophy , Master of Science in Engineering , and Master of Engineering Students must be admitted to one of these three degree programs. When a Ph.D. student enters the department, an adviser is assigned to the student based on the student area of interest. Demonstrated proficiency in appropriate coursework is required for the Ph.D. degree.

A hybrid (on-line and in-person) program delivered in partnership with 2U inc. The first 12 months of the program focus on online classes and coursework in which students explore the various organ systems, such as cardiology, hematology, and gastroenterology. Pediatric, emergency, and geriatric medicine are integrated throughout the curriculum as students work to refine their clinical skills and consider how learned material is applicable in real-life situations.

The Computer Science (CS) operates and supports computing facilities for departmental education, research, and administration needs. In addition, most students have access to systems located in their research areas. Each research group in Computer Science has systems specific to its research needs.

The graduate program in Psychological and Brain Sciences at Johns Hopkins University offers students the opportunity to earn a PhD while working at the cutting edge of research on the mind and brain. The primary goal of the program is the training of researchers who, through careers in academia, industry, and other arenas work to deepen the university understanding of mental processes. In the university five-year, full-time program, graduate students also fulfill the requirements for and earn an MA. Students admitted to the PhD program receive full tuition, health insurance coverage, and a 12-month stipend, and students from underrepresented groups may be eligible for other university-wide supplemental fellowships.

The program integrates research, theory, and practice to provide students with foundational concepts and core skills in areas such as urban school governance, race and democracy, program evaluation, data analysis and data-based decision making, economic analysis, community assets and needs assessment, and strategic and organizational management. The academic coursework is grounded in practice and is complemented by a concurrent nine-month internship in a local urban education policy setting. Applicant can apply directly to the Biological Sciences. This is a good option if applicant have a strong interest in one or several labs in the university department and prefer a small, focused environment with maximum coursework flexibility. Alternatively, applicant can enter the Biological Sciences at the end of the first year after applying through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program The IGP is a first-year admission program that includes 11 different departments and programs concentrating on the Biomedical Sciences.

Columbia University’s Master of Arts in Biotechnology trains students in modern aspects of molecular biology with a particular emphasis on approaches used in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The curriculum focuses on the basic principles of biotechnology and specific applications in various fields. The use of biotechnology to fight disease is emphasized. The program can be completed by full-time students in one year including the summer term or at a reduced pace by part-time students.
