Successful completion of the combined Master Dietetic Internship program qualifies one to sit for the registration examination to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

Online Nutrition and Food Systems Degree
College description: Fully Online Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Systems with an emphasis in Dietetics Practice designed specifically to be integrated into a Dietetic Internship. Completion of the graduate degree and the dietetic internship are planned to be completed within a 2-year time frame. No need for additional letters of recommendation to the graduate school (DICAS letters accepted).
The fully online Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Systems emphasizing Dietetics Practice enables students enrolled in a dietetic internship to complete half of their degree concurrently with supervised practice, while the remainder of the Online Nutrition and Food Systems Degree requirements can be completed fully online.
Requirements for the Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Systems
The emphasis in Dietetic Practice is fully online and fulfills Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for supervised practice. The emphasis in Management of Child Nutrition Programs is available as a fully online program.

Required Admission Examinations: Because passing the RD exam and gaining work experience in the field of dietetics are required for successful admission to the MS in human nutritional science, dietetics concentration, the Nutrition Program Graduate Committee does not require applicants to take or submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination
Letters of Recommendation: Three letters of recommendation, including at least one from an employer or work supervisor.
Resume: A resume that summarizes the applicant's academic, volunteer, and employment experiences.
Written Statement: A one- to two-page, typed, double-spaced, personal statement addressing the following: significant professional responsibilities the applicant has held; professional goals and reasons for desiring to enroll in this program; strengths that will help the applicant succeed in this program and in reaching their professional goals; and personal interests in research, including, if applicable, studies involving the practice of dietetics.

College description: Options for a full-time or part-time program of study. The programs of study at the College of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Tuition for online courses is based on residency and is the same whether you take an online or on campus course. Online students do pay an additional $60 fee, per course, to cover the costs of operating online courses.
