If this is you, and you have a desire to help individuals with hearing or speech disorders, consider the Post-Baccalaureate Year for Communication Science and Disorders. Upon completion, you will be prepared to apply for graduate study in audiology or speech-language pathology either at Pitt or another university. Applicants who received their occupational therapy training within the United States must have an entry-level master’s degree in occupational therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education accredited program, or a baccalaureate degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program and a master’s degree in occupational therapy or another field of study.

Please note that the GRE is not required for admission to the program.

Evidence of graduate level writing skills in an essay that outlines: 1) why applicant are interested in pursuing the Doctor of Clinical Science in Occupational Therapy degree or Certificate in Implementation, 2) why applicant are interested in advancing their education through the University of Pittsburgh, 3) what makes applicant a good fit for an advanced training education program that is delivered online and 4) the future professional goals that applicant hope to achieve as a result of this advanced training.

Letters of recommendation should attest to their professional abilities and conduct, collegiality, oral and written communication skills and leadership.

An application fee of $50, which is waived if application is submitted by the priority deadline

Pitt’s online CScD in Occupational Therapy program offers two start dates per year, in the spring and fall. Applicants who submit an application by the early decision and priority deadlines are eligible to receive an application fee waiver.
