Online M.Eng. in System Engineering
Cornell’s College of Engineering, the preeminent engineering school in the Ivy League, is offering a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Systems Engineering via distance learning. This program is ideal for you if you've entered the workforce and want to earn your master's without taking a break in your employment. As more and more engineers pursue master's level education, the demand for master's programs is increasing and will rise dramatically in the coming years. Many of those prospective master's degree students are engineers who already have professional jobs, and who want to pursue a professional master's program without leaving their employment.
An online application for admission and financial aid for the Master of Engineering program must be completed through the Cornell University Graduate School.
The application deadline is May 15.
Applicants must document at least one year of work experience in a relevant field to be eligible to enroll in the distance learning degree program.
1. Statement of purpose: A one or two-page statement stating your reasons for undertaking graduate work, as well as an explanation of your academic interests, including their relation to your undergraduate study and professional goals.
2. Unofficial transcripts from each college or university previously attended.
3. Two letters of recommendation: Recommenders may submit their letters online. Once an application is submitted, recommenders receive an automated email soliciting their letter.
4. Official GRE general test scores: The GRE requirement is waived for admission.
5. Official TOEFL scores: TOEFL is required from international applicants. Required an overall minimum score of 105. This is in addition to the minimum sub-scores for each element of the TOEFL iBT as outlined by the Graduate School: Writing – 20, Listening – 15, Reading – 20, Speaking – 22
