This 3-year scholarship program supports full time PhD education for nurses committed to careers in academic geriatric nursing. If applicant plans to work during the Scholarship period, the employer must provide a letter describing sufficient release time to allow full time commitment to the Scholarship program. IF the applicant is applying to the OU PhD in Nursing program, the Selection Committee will review transcripts that are submitted with the PhD Admission Application. If applicant are an already-enrolled doctoral student in the OU PhD in Nursing program, applicant MUST submit three new references in support of this scholarship application. The office of the Reynolds Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence can respond to questions regarding the Reynolds Scholarship application and provide a list of current mentors in the College and their areas of research expertise. Neuroscience nursing scholarships help pay for the costs of higher education in this constantly changing field. Through ongoing research, the Research Grant Programs of the Neuroscience Nursing Foundation advances neuroscience nursing. Products that evaluate new modes of therapy and contribute to scientific knowledge and patient care may qualify for these research grants. Students preparing for a career in neuroscience nursing may qualify for the Haley Scholarship to the William F. The scholarship is for 6 credits per academic year for up to three years, if the student successfully completed of minimum of 9 credits per year. Students in either the MS or PhD nursing programs may apply for this award as well as new students and non-matriculated students. The graduate scholarships if for Russian-Jewish immigrant students admitted to Brooklyn College-CUNY in New York. The scholarships are awarded to students major in one of the natural sciences other than chemistry, including neuroscience. Neurobiology and physiology majors are preferred for these scholarships. Only highly evolved research proposals are considered for these scholarships. The University of Washington awards two different scholarships geared toward neurobiology students who demonstrate talent and financial need. The Porath Johnson Endowed Scholarship awards $5,000 to outstanding students and the Riehl Endowed Scholarship awards $1,000.

Prospective scholars do not need to be enrolled in a graduate program at the time of application, but must be admitted to a graduate level program in order to be awarded this scholarship. All Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program recipients must put together an outreach product that communicates their scientific research in a way that the average person can understand it, as well as see why it matters to them. Scholarship recipients are required to provide annual reports documenting the scholar activities, accomplishments, academic progress, research progress, and education and outreach progress. These reports must be submitted through the Grants.gov system. At the conclusion of the award, recipients are required to submit a final report encompassing their accomplishments during the award period and their post scholarship plans, especially regarding NOAA interactions and the National Marine Sanctuary Ambassador requirement. The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program is administered through the NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and subject to appropriations. Academic Record and Statement of Intent describing career goals and objectives of scholarship need. If an existing Dr. Nancy Foster Scholar who has been selected to receive funding for a Master’s level degree from a previous year of funding chooses to bypass the Master’s degree and continue directly to a PhD degree, they may be given priority in the final selection process and selected over existing applicants.

Grant Foundation to test an innovative, family-based approach to reducing sexual risk behavior and inequality among male adolescents in the Bronx.
