The Master of Arts in Human Resources Management prepares individuals in a variety of employment settings to join other organizational leaders at the table of decision makers.

The Human Resources Management graduate program provides students with skills and information in key operational areas such as human relations and communications, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee and labor relations, and staffing and retention. Additionally, the program teaches professionals contribute to organizational development, change, risk management, and strategic planning.

The master degree in Human Resources Management is designed for experienced human resources leaders and professionals seeking skills for advancement in the field. Admission to the program is on a selective basis. Applicants should have strong writing skills and a strong record. Qualified students may take up to nine units on a non-degree basis.

A maximum of six units of related, comparable graduate-level course work may be transferred from another university or from a related graduate program at Washington University with the approval of the program director. These must be graduate-level units not used to fulfill degree requirements. Transfer credit may be granted only for authorized courses for which the student received a grade of B or higher.

Applicants must have a bachelor degree from an accredited institution. Although no specific major is required for admission into the program, course work in psychology, economics, and accounting is useful.

What is the GRE score required for admission to Master’s degree in Human Resources Management?

Gre score requirements differ from school to school. Most colleges do not publish the cutoff scores. For example The University of Minnesota MHRIR program has made the choice to provide a waiver of the requirement of the GRE GMAT to program to enter in spring 2021. This decision was made because of the difficulty and even impossibility for some prospective students to take an exam like the GRE GMAT during the COVID19 pandemic.

Applicants are required to take either the GRE or GMAT.

Part-time program only: In certain circumstances, a GMAT-GRE Waiver may be applied for to fulfill this requirement.

The Graduate Management Admissions Test is offered year round as a computer adaptive test. Applicant need to complete the GMAT test before the university can process their application. GMAT scores are valid for five years after the test date. The university median GMAT score for recent entering classes is approximately 720, but the range of scores of admitted students is very broad.

The university also pay careful attention to a student’s GMAT , written and spoken English, recommender observations, and exposure to language, in addition to the GRE.

Students reporting grades from institutions that do not evaluate academic performance on a 4.0 GPA scale should NOT convert their scores to a GPA.

The Tuck application allows candidates to report all valid GMAT and or GRE test scores taken within the last five years.

The university require that applicant self-reported GMAT or GRE scores, so applicant should plan to take the test in enough time to receive a score to self-report. Please note that applicant do not need to submit an official GMAT or GRE score with their application.
