Transcripts: If you attended UNH after September 1, 1991, and have indicated so on your online application, we will retrieve your transcript internally; this includes UNH-Durham, UNH-Manchester and UNH Non-Degree work.

If you did not attend UNH, or attended prior to September 1, 1991, then you must request one official transcript be sent directly to our office from the Registrar's Office of each college/university attended. International transcripts must be translated into English.

Letters of recommendation: 3 required. Recommendation letters submitted by relatives or friends, as well as letters older than one year, will not be accepted.

Personal Statement/Essay Questions

The GRE scores are optional, if you wish to provide scores email the scores directly to the department once you have submitted your application online.

Admission requirements include acceptability to a potential faculty advisor holding an appointment in the Rubenstein School and the UVM Graduate College.

The Rubenstein School does not require a GRE exam.

Admission into a Rackham degree or certificate program is a process shared by the Rackham Graduate School and the graduate program. To be considered for graduate admission, applicants must meet the requirements of the Rackham Graduate School and of the graduate program.

Applicants complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.

Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency. Applicants are required to provide an official test score report. Photocopies and/or faxes of English proficiency scores will not be accepted.

Individuals applying for a duplicate degree are not eligible for enrollment.

The application fee is free for all applicants and the university is no longer requiring or accepting GRE scores for SEAS graduate programs.
