Course Description
The objective of this program is to provide students with a broad knowledge of major technical areas of aerospace engineering. Program Description:The objective of this program is to provide students with a broad knowledge of major technical areas of aerospace engineering in order to fulfill the current and future needs of the aerospace industry. The major technical areas of this program include aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), propulsion, systems and control, and structures and dynamics. Graduate students should not take than (3) 100-level courses.
The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering has teamed up with the Georgia Tech School of Modern Languages to provide several opportunities for AE students to learn the Russian language. To earn a Minor in Russian Studies, students must complete 15 credit-hours of coursework starting at the RUSS 2002 level. The coursework should include one Russian or Eurasian-themed course from outside of Modern Languages. To receive a certificate in Russian, you must take 12 credit-hours of courses beyond the RUSS2001 course.
While receiving the scholarships, the recipients must remain in the Aerospace Engineering program taking at least 15 credit hours in both the fall and spring terms, continue to make progress toward the BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, and maintain an overall cumulative GPA of 3.2. Effective Academic Year : Recipients must maintain a cumulative KU GPA of 3.25 and complete at least 30 KU credit hours each academic year. We are not currently accepting applications for Aerospace Engineering department scholarships. The Waas Scholarship is accepting applications. Only 1 application is needed for all Aerospace Engineering Scholarships with the exception of the Waas Scholarship.
