Course Description | The School of Physical Therapy has an overarching mission, vision and strategic goals and each of the programs has its unique mission, vision and goals consistent with that of the School. Overall, our focus within the school is study of the science of movement and how movement promotes the overall health and wellness of those that we serve. Our DPT, Fellowship and Residency programs are accredited by the nations top physical therapy accreditors, certifying the quality and outcomes of each program. This degree program is offered in partnership with Creighton University. | Physical Therapy Aide Technicians provide assistance in the treatment of patients in a wide variety of clinical settings, ranging from hospitals to outpatient orthopedic facilities. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of physical therapy aides is projected to grow 29% from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. The non-credit Physical Therapy Aide program at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) provides a basic of the rehabilitation process including anatomy, treatment modalities, medical terminology and ethics, gait assistive devices, and note recording. The course provides a foundation to initiate a career as a Physical Therapy Aide. | License to practice physical therapy in the State of Illinois.
