The Department of Engineering Technology offers a Master of Plastics Technical Engineering degree program. This certificate program is open to students that have earned a bachelor degree in science or engineering. The courses in this certificate may be applied to UMass Lowell Master of Science in Plastics Engineering.
Utilize time-temperature superposition to generate a master curve to fully describe the mechanical response of a viscoelastic material. Models to describe nonlinear materials responses. Solve simple fracture mechanics problems. Demonstrate an understanding of polymer deformation mechanisms.
