DESCRIPTION

The Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program is open to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. The program, funded through generous donations, aims to award scholarships to "Freemont Scholars," selected nationwide based on their leadership, community volunteerism, and extracurricular school activities.

Eligibility criteria vary for each category:

High School Seniors:

  • High School Seniors must complete high school,
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.0,
  • Plan to attend an accredited HBCU,
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1150 or ACT score of 21,
  • Be a U.S. citizen,
  • major in sciences,
  • Submit transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and an essay.

Undergraduate Students:

  • Undergraduate Students need to be accepted or enrolled in an accredited HBCU,
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0,
  • Be a U.S. citizen,
  • Pursue an undergraduate degree in sciences,
  • Submit similar documentation as high school seniors.

Graduate Students:

  • Graduate Students must apply and be accepted into a graduate school
  • Meet the GPA requirement,
  • Be a U.S. citizen,
  • Pursue a graduate degree in health and medical sciences,
  • Submit transcripts, recommendations, and an essay.
