Addiction Awareness Scholarship Campaign

To raise awareness as to the causes, consequences, and treatment of addiction, Seasons in Malibu, an addiction treatment center, is seeking to reward essay applicants $1,500 in scholarships- for students entering college or already enrolled in a higher education institution. The aim of the scholarship is to bring attention as to why addiction, in various forms, is becoming more prevalent in our society and how can we address the issue of an increasing number of people dealing with addiction. The scholarship is open to any major who can shed light on this issue. It may be a personal story that you can share or a more researched essay.

There will be 2 contest submission dates. To be eligible for the contest submit your essay by one the submission dates.

  • Round 1: January 13th – May 31st
  • Round 2: July 1st – November 30th
  • Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Grants and Student Loans

    All new graduate students who completed an undergraduate degree at North Park University can enter the CMHC program with a 20% tuition reduction thanks to the University’s Alumni Grant. This grant may be used for one course or the full program. It cannot be combined with any other scholarships or discounts that may be offered to you from North Park.

    Swedish Covenant Hospital Partnership: North Park University is pleased to provide financial support for employees of Swedish Covenant Hospital (SCH) who enroll in degree programs, either in-person or online, according to the following parameters:

  • Students in the School of Professional Studies are eligible for a 15% tuition reduction.
  • To be eligible for the discount, students must complete an employee verification form available in the Human Resources Department of SCH.
  • Full-time eligible employees of SCH who enroll in a degree program at North Park are awarded a blanket tuition reduction, which represents the full amount of financial aid available from North Park. This discount will not be combined with other North Park grants and scholarships available to other students.
  • Continued employment will be verified annually by North Park University’s Financial Aid Office.
  • CMHC students may also be eligible for veteran’s benefits or other outside scholarships. The University can also work with you to take advantage of employer reimbursement benefits.

    Student Loans: Many graduate students borrow student loans to pay for master’s degrees. All student loans must be repaid; most federal student loans are at a significantly lower interest than other private loans. In order to explore options for student loans, you must complete a FAFSA for each academic year you want loan funding. Generally, you will start loan repayment six months after you graduate or leave school.

    Alumni Grant: The North Park University Alumni can enroll in graduate coursework with a 30% tuition reduction. This grant may be used for individual courses or a whole program, for in-person or online courses. This grant cannot be combined with any other scholarships or discounts that may be offered to you from North Park

    Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarship

    Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarships fund Polish-speaking American students for graduate studies, such as master's and Ph.D. studies, at U.S. colleges and universities. Scholarships vary from 1,000 to 7,000 dollars. Support is only available for full-time studies in the United States and for English Medical Schools in Poland.

    Dr. Marie E. Zakrzewski Medical Scholarship

    The Dr. Marie E. Zakrzewski Medical Scholarship is awarded for the first, second, or third year of M.D. studies to a young woman of Polish descent. Degree at the United States Accredited School of Medicine. On a competitive foundation, one $3,500 scholarship is awarded.

    The Mental Health System Reform Scholarship

    Dayne Phillips is proud to introduce The Mental Health System Reform Scholarship to bring awareness to this topic and to give students an opportunity to voice their opinion on the mental health system and treatment in the United States.

    This scholarship will award one student with one thousand dollars ($1,000) to be used in the pursuit of their educational goals.

    Don Renschler Scholarship

    Don Renschler Scholarship for Washington residents who are graduate students in the study of mental health.

    Scholarship fund at Pride Foundation was established to support gay men of color who are leaders in their communities and are experiencing significant financial need. Brian understood first-hand the challenges that black gay men face while pursuing a post-secondary degree.

    The scholarship program supports students who:

  • Show leadership potential either within the LGBTQ+ community or within their field of study
  • Lack a broader LGBTQ+ community support system
  • Face additional barriers to educational access, including students who are economically, racially, socially, geographically, or politically disenfranchised
  • Demonstrate significant financial need
  • The scholarship amount awarded can be used for,

  • You can apply your scholarship toward any of the following: tuition, student fees, on-campus room and board, study abroad programs, books.
  • Scholarships can also apply toward course supplies or research-related expenses, but you must obtain prior approval from Pride Foundation.
  • Checks are made out to your school and credited to your student account. Funds cannot be sent directly to students.
  • The average amount awarded for students is $4,000 and the largest award is $16500. The largest single scholarship award is $12,000.

    Frances J. White Scholarship for Mental Health and Ministry

    Frances J. White Scholars in Global Ministry and Frances J. White Scholarship for Mental Health and Ministry were established to financially support master's students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy degrees.

    With the goal of filling the demand for trained clinical mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists, the Frances J. White Scholars in Global Ministry and Frances J. White Scholarship for Mental Health and Ministry were established to financially support M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy students.

    This scholarship is awarded to students with needs to prepare for cross-cultural ministry or to international Christian leaders with needs returning to their home countries.
