Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation Scholarship
The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation awards scholarship funding to support nursing students on the MCV Campus. Thousands of future nurses have benefited from the foundation’s roughly $9 million in donations throughout the years.
MCV Foundation is the doorway that connects VCU School of Nursing students with the transformational scholarship funding that the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation continues to provide annually.
The foundation’s scholarship program awards its annual grants to more than 200 accredited educational institutions across the Southeast, including 51 in Virginia.
Oncology Nursing Foundation Master’s Scholarship
The Master's scholarships supported by the Oncology Nursing Foundation and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation provide scholarships to registered nurses who are interested in and committed to oncology nursing to continue their education by pursuing a master’s degree in nursing.
CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship
The CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship honors graduate nursing students who are committed to innovation, leadership, and/or mentoring in order to advance the nursing profession. Every semester, two $2,500 scholarships will be given out, for a total of four scholarships per academic year.
This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership, and/or mentoring.
Oncology Nursing Foundation Doctoral Scholarships
The Oncology Nursing Foundation sponsors doctoral scholarships, and Pfizer supports the Ann Olson Doctoral Scholarship. The aim of this scholarship is to offer scholarships to registered nurses who are involved in and dedicated to oncology nursing to further their education by completing a research doctorate (PhD or DNSc) or clinical doctorate degree (DNP).
Oncology Nursing Foundation Master's Scholarships
The Oncology Nursing Foundation and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation are funding these Master's scholarships. The aim of this scholarship is to offer scholarships to registered nurses who are passionate about oncology nursing who want to further their education by obtaining a master's degree in nursing.
Sigma Grants
The Sigma Foundation for Nursing awards grants to nurses in order to enable them to contribute to the progress of nursing through research. Funding is allocated depending on the validity of the submitted study, the applicant's potential pledge, and the applicant's research budget. Applications from new researchers who have not secured any other national research funding are welcomed. All credentials being equivalent, preference will be granted to Sigma participants. Sigma Foundation for Nursing has annual grants. The grant funds do not offset costs accrued previous to the funding deadline.
Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarship
Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year.
Funding is non-recurring and for one semester only.
